Early Career, Breakthrough and Success

   Musa began his career in the GBS Football Academy in Job, Nigeria, a football Academy in Nigeria prominent in the upbringing of superstar footballs among them is Moses Simon.

    In 2008, Musa was loaned from his Acadeny to JUTH F.C. where he played 18 games, scoring four goals in his first two professional seasons for the Healers. He was subsequently loaned to Kano Pillars F.C. In the 2009–10 season where he set the league record scoring multiple crucial goals as Pillars finished second. Musa held the record for the highest goals ever scored in one season in the history of the Nigeria Premier League at age 17.

   In 2010, he was transferred to VVV-Venlo at age 17 where he began his international career in Netherlands when he officially turned 18 years old. 
   
   In 2011, he was rated among the Best Hot 100 – The Young Stars To Look Out For In 2011 where it was stated that “Pace is his greatest asset”. The Forward has shown to use his pace and help it team “Nigeria” secure major 3 point at Russia World Cup 2018 where they are currently battling to qualify for  the Round of 16. Same year he won the AIT footballer of the year award 
  In 2012, Musa signed for Russian side CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee. On 8 July 2016, Musa moved to Leicester City for a club record £16.6 million. He scored his first goals with the club in a friendly against Barcelona in the 2016 International Champions Cup which ended in a 4–2 loss and on 30 January 2018, Musa returned to CSKA Moscow on loan till the rest of the 2017/2018.

 

    On 5 August 2010, at the age of 17, Musa made his debut for the Nigeria senior team in a qualification match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar, where he came on as a substitute for John Obi Mikel in a 2–0 win. Musa scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in a March 2011 friendly against Kenya same year.

    Ahmed Musa was previously married to Jamila Musa with whom he has a son and a daughter. The exact date of the couple’s marriage is unclear, however, they have since gotten a divorce following an altercation that led to Musa’s arrest.

    It is said that the couple got into an argument which led to an altercation after Musa shared a photo of his girlfriend and soon to be the second wife, as permitted by his religion, on social media. He has since gotten married again, tying the knot with his said girlfriend, Juliet.
